Brighton alt-noise- pop trio Tigercub have had an incredible couple of years, fulfilling the frighteningly intense potential that so many have seen in them since they first started gigging across Brighton back in 2012.

Tigercub don’t compromise. They don’t bend. Their confident debut album ‘Abstract Figures In The Dark’ – their first step onto the journey with us at Alcopop! alongside is jagged and harsh. It is a pill that isn’t easily swallowed, nor digested; it is emotionally overwhelming and entirely self-aware. It doesn’t fit neatly into a box on the shelf marked “punk” or “grunge”.

The critically acclaimed album has already picked up a swathe of support at BBC Radio One, with daytime love from Clara Amfo, Daniel P Carter naming it as his Rockest Record, Annie Mac selecting Tigercub as December’s New Name and Huw Stephens featuring the album on ‘It’s Album Time’. Alongside that they’ve made the A-List on Amazing Radio, Virgin Radio named ‘Omen’ their Record Of The Week, and Radio X saw ‘Omen’ and ‘Burning Effigies’ playlisted, with support from the Morning Show and X-Posure teams.

Following up, the band took to the studio to record seminal new EP titled Evolve or Die - which was released on a 'pay what you want' 12" vinyl (the first ever) with a loyal fanbase snapping the entire run up within hours of them going on sale. As much of a statement as it is a body of work - this is TIGERCUB doing what TIGERCUB do best. Being vital, reinventing - and creating something that only enhanced their reputation, garnering headline shows at The Scala and Conchord - alongside a european and expansive UK tour, packed out festival slots at Readig & Leeds and shows with Royal Blood.

Meanwhile, press has come in relentlessly positive waves, and kept on coming – while various songs from the record have hit Spotify and Apple Music playlists galore across the world. Meanwhile, the band have powered through extensive headline tours through UK and Europe, whilst supporting the likes of Black Peaks, Pulled Apart By Horses and The Fall on tour in the last few months… .

It's time to embrace the TIGERCUB wave and ride it!
